When using gpg encrypted files, like, for example. authinfo.gpg for GNUS, one has to enter the passphrase. When running inside an Xsession, pinentry-qt4 does the job, more or less, but opens a new dialog window. But when running in console, emacs uses "pinentry-ncurses", which would display a full-screen dialog, asking to enter the passphrase. However, this does obviously not fit into the one line that is available.
