[Bug 401525] New: /sbin/yast2 /usr/bin/vm-install hangs
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=401525 Summary: /sbin/yast2 /usr/bin/vm-install hangs Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: i386 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: leon@tim-online.nl QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- I first ran yast2 and selected "Install hypervisor and tools". When it was done installing I selected "Create virtual machines". But yast hangs until I press ctrl+c. Runing /usr/bin/vm-install from the command prompt works just fine. Running "/sbin/yast2 /usr/bin/vm-install" from the command prompt hangs also. Then when I press ctrl+c I get the following output: xen:~ # Error: The job was canceled. close failed: [Errno 11] Resource temporarily unavailable I installed OpenSUSE with the netboot image and pointing to an openSUSE 11.0 mirror. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

There are no plans to give vm-install an ncurses or yast interface. You can of course launch vm-install independent of yast and get a CLI interface. It will also work from within or out of yast when the GUI is present. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
