[Bug 490017] New: No yast2-branding-upstream package available
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=490017 Summary: No yast2-branding-upstream package available Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: binner@kde.org QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.7) Gecko/2009022800 SUSE/3.0.7-1.1.6 Firefox/3.0.7 It's not possible to install a system without yast2-branding-openSUSE package as required by the "openSUSE Project Trademark Guidelines" as no other package exists which provides yast2-branding. Also no yast2-registration-branding-upstream packages exists though arguable yast2-registration should not be allowed/wanted on non-openSUSE media. It should contain "Supplements: packageand(yast2:branding-openSUSE)". -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

The only thing that makes sense to me is to duplicate the yast2-branding-openSUSE package to yast2-branding-upstream. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

You probably don't want it. Regarding comment #4: If we are upstream, your branding package may supplement two different symbols. "upstream" is a brand name for "artwork provided by upstream", it may be exactly equal to openSUSE: Supplements: packageand(yast2:branding-openSUSE) Supplements: packageand(yast2:branding-upstream) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
