[Bug 1172387] sync custom rpi3 config not owned by packages
http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1172387 http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1172387#c2 Matthias Brugger <mbrugger@suse.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Flags|needinfo?(mbrugger@suse.com | |) | --- Comment #2 from Matthias Brugger <mbrugger@suse.com> --- (In reply to Fabian Vogt from comment #1)
The /etc/dracut.conf.d/ dropins should not be necessary anymore, but I'm missing access to hardware so I couldn't verify that.
I do not know about the tweaks for smsc95xx, even with appropriate hardware I couldn't reproduce the issue reliably.
@mbrugger: Do you know whether any of those issues got fixed "properly" meanwhile?
I'm not sure, someone will have to sit down and go through all the bugs, have a look on the discussions and the resolution. For example it seems that pcie-brcmstb was only fixed for SLE15-SP2 but not for factory.
Those files could be moved into the raspberrypi-firmware package.
@mbrugger: Any objections against ^?
I like the approach. Apart of not hiding SoC specific stuff in some image creation scripts, it would help us to better understand and prevent any diff between SLES and factory. With this excercises we might also understand where the actual diff comes from. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
