--- Comment #14 from Nelson Marques
I think that this is the case, as the first statement says that the version that has legal validity is only the English one, not the translations...
Actually I suspect that the English has zero legal value as a binding contract, since our organic laws require legal documents, manuals and documentation to be in the native language. SUSE/Novell have commercial operations in Portugal so they should know how it works. The important thing is that people speak Portuguese in the 5 continents, while Brazilian Portuguese is only spoken in Brazil. The current text shouldnt be used for anyone else outside Brasil as it's pretty much obvious that it's directed to a Brazilian audience. We all know there are huge differences in semantics between Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese. For example a 'camisa' in Portugal is a t-shirt, maybe equivalent to the Brazilian term 'camiseta' which doesn't exist in Portugal; While 'camisa' in Brasil is a piece of garment used by women when they sleep. There are far more, enough to DoS the wiki (and coolo), so lets not go that way. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
