Thanks! However, this looks very strange: the register dumps are identical in both working and non-working cases. So, from the hardware setup POV, both should behave same, but by some unknown reason, the output differs. Hmm.
I recognized in point 4 that the pavucontrol still showed unplugged even the headphone on front was plugged.
This might be due to the runtime PM where the codec is suspended.
To point 5: After disconnecting headphone there is still no sound on LINEOUT plug. pavucontrol shows LINEOUTPUT (plugged in).
Likely the same problem. A kind of expected behavior.
After setting pavucontrol to headphone (unplugged) I got sound to the amplifier again. It's the same for point 7 and 8
Could you try the following? - Create a file /etc/modprobe.d/61-hda.conf, containing the following line: options snd-hda-intel power_save_controller=0 and reboot / retest. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
