http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=989265 Bug ID: 989265 Summary: GNU tar doesn't cooperate well with Amanda Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.2 Hardware: x86-64 OS: SUSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: andreas.bolsch@alumni.tu-berlin.de QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- #913058 for 13.2 happily propaged to 42.1 and now to 42.2. tar-1.28 and tar-1.27 both suffer from this problem. It might be a good idea to switch to tar-1.29 as in tumbleweed. Just checked tar-1.29-1.2 from that one - works as desired. One always hopes that recovery from backup is rarely necessary. But in case, there is already enough work to come, and you really don't need that sort additional nuisance (i. e. manual extraction of every single piece). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
