[Bug 1043432] New: Screen not locked when laptop lid closed if guest of VirtualBox in full screen mode
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1043432 Bug ID: 1043432 Summary: Screen not locked when laptop lid closed if guest of VirtualBox in full screen mode Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE Workspace (Plasma) Assignee: opensuse-kde-bugs@opensuse.org Reporter: zhx@cnzhx.net QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- First of all, I am not sure whether this is a bug of KDE Plasma. But I have entered into this situation several times before when I didn't pay much attention to it. When the Windows 7 guest of VirtualBox is in full screen mode, the openSUSE Tumbleweed with KDE Plasma won't lock the screen when the laptop lid is closed. The screen is locked as supposed if the guest is not in full screen mode. I think the host OS should lock the screen when it is set to while the laptop lid is closed. This issue could always be reproduced. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

Sorry but I don't how to check the "battery and brightness" while the guest is in full-screen mode because the host screen is fully covered by the guest screen.
You should be able to switch the virtual desktop by escaping the keyboard lock (using the host key) and hovering over the HUD, pressing Ctrl-F2.
The status of options in "battery and brightness" including the "Enable Power Management" are the same before entering and after exiting the full-screen state. I'm not sure whether this is what you are asking.
This is expected, otherwise it would never lock at all ;-) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
