I was not using multiple virtual desktops (VD), so I created one for this. Short answer is that I observer no change to the applet of "battery and brightness" and options in it. Long answer: 1. To answer the required infomation. 1) In VD 1, I enable full-screen for the guest, and left click into it; 2) I then press Right Ctrl, and a dialogue pops up saying I have clicked mouse or pressed the Right Ctrl key, and keep the dialogue window active; 3) I press Ctrl+F2 so the VD2 is switched in; 4) Before and after the above 1), 2) and 3), there is no change to the applet of "battery and brightness" and options in it. 2. Further testing. 1) After 1. 2), I make the dialogue silence to further pressing of Right Ctrl key; 2) Do 1. 1) and 2) again but no mouse clicking after this (so the keyboard remains unlocked from the guest being able to answering to the key combinations defined in the host); 3) Close the lid and the screen is locked as supposed; So, if the keyboard is unlocked from the VirtualBox guest, the screen will be locked as supposed when the lid is closed.
