[Bug 1012575] New: no support for sound in qemu
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1012575 Bug ID: 1012575 Summary: no support for sound in qemu Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: PowerPC-64 OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel Assignee: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: msuchanek@suse.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- qemu supports these sound cards: - Creative SoundBlaster 16 sound card - ENSONIQ AudioPCI ES1370 sound card - Intel 82801AA AC97 Audio compatible sound card - Intel HD Audio Controller and HDA codec - Adlib (OPL2) - Yamaha YM3812 compatible chip - Gravis Ultrasound GF1 sound card - CS4231A compatible sound card out of these at least 82801AA AC97 and ES1370 are PCI devices that *can* be connected to any system that emulates PCI bus including the ppc64 pSeries VM. The openQA machines use 82801AA which is supported by CONFIG_SND_INTEL8X0. AFAICT neither of these sound drivers is enabled on ppc64 and ppc64le. I am not convinced any of these emulations is superior to the others so enabling one should suffice for testing sound features in qemu. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
