https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=681682 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=681682#c0 Summary: 2.36.18 kernel (from tumbleweed ) causes external-only display to fail Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: bnc-team-xorg-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: jmcdonough@novell.com QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: Development Blocker: --- Updating to kernel-desktop-2.6.38-18.1.x86_64, i can no longer have only my external display enabled while the internal display is off (lenovo x201). Cycling through fn+f7, the place when the external (minidisplayport) display should be on, while the internal LCD is off, nothing is on. All the other (mirror, expanded desktop, internal only) modes all work correctly. When I move back to 2.36.17, everything is fine. I'm happy to provide whatever info is needed. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Is it better with 2.6.38.2 from: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Kernel:/stable/standard/ No, I get the same results. Is there anything I should trace while making the switch?
There is one more piece of info I should mention. It's an x201 with dock. I'm using the minidisplayport output of the dock. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
