I created a partition for the mount point "/" too small, so when the system got installed and the computer rebooted, GDM didn't start and pursuing a 'df' command I found out that the root partition was full (100%). Storage modules cannot know how large the packages to install are. AFAIK this is done in module SpaceCalculation.ycp.
