After that i have recompiled the kernel. 2 - I have compiled a git versions of libdrm, xserver, mesa, intel video driver, and all related components. (i've used SuSE Build Service, and I can provide link to repo, if needed) 3 - I have installed a precompiled 32-bit version of Firefox, from mozilla site. 4 - I've noticed that my dmesg said about mtrr problems when starting a i915 driver. I've fixed that too. Now flash works great in fullscreen. (i tested it with effects turned off). Yes, on my HW(**) it works fine for flash videos, but only for flash! Because there is still a side effect. This doesn't occur with intel-legacy and it doesn't occur with Opera and Konqueror. Two of my computers are also affected by this (really!) annoying bug: * Samsung Q45 T2390 Laptop * Asus EEE PC 1000h Netbook Flash Fullscreen (e.g. YouTube and - which is even worse - southpark.com) freezes after a short while. Video stops, Audio continues a little longer before it freezes, too. The only thing I can do is Power OFF/Power ON my laptop.

Specs: Samsung Q45: Intel 965GM EEE PC 1000h: Intel 945GME 2D driver: intel / 3d driver: Unknown classic 7.8.2 openSUSE 11.3 (i586) Kernel 2.6.34-12

The X11 repo does NOT fix this issue for me, neither did a Kernel update help. Same thing: X11 locks, while the audio goes on playing. That's why I mentioned it in my post. The attached file is a renamed Xorg.0.log.old. Repeated it several times. Also checked from the command line (point 3.4, post above) with the help of vim the /var/log/Xorg.0.log right after the freeze. This latter description is pretty clearly the actual bug here on 620157, and if you read all 4 descriptions, you can see that the other three are *not* this particular failing. Stefan: what's the best solution to this? Close '157, and open a new bug for the X-only hang? Or keep this one open, since the kernel upgrade does not reliably fix the X-hang?
