Could you try to install the old kernel you know it worked on the current
system and see whether it start working again? You can obtain the old package
from TW history repo,
http://download.opensuse.org/history/
Once when you get a good running system, get alsa-info.sh output from that.
Run the script with --no-upload option and attach the output to Bugzilla.
Also, give the dmesg output, too. Then, reboot with the broken kernel, and get
the same outputs, too.
OTOH, if the old kernel didn't work as well, it's something else than the
kernel update itself that broke things.
