If we install hal ignoring broken dependencies it cannot start. Yast reports that hal daemon cannot start without boot.rootfsck service. It is also not provided by last aaa_base. Without working hal cannot work hal-depending parts of KDE3 (hal-free alternatives of these parts seem to be too buggy yet). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual Results: Please try to install hal and to to start its daemon from yast in 12.3. Hal can be installed only with broken deps and cannot be started. Yast makes an error message.
