The condition probably dates back to when only x86 and aarch64 were supported, and I never bothered to check whether additional backends became available. Also it's not the primary debugger on openSUSE, so having it on "niche" architectures was a bit less compelling. AFAIK lldb is an optional dependency of bpftrace; after all lldb may not work on all architectures, or not completely.
