For the kdm part, it appears that the SUSE-branded kdm theme is not compatible
with the fingerprint reader. This can be solved by using another theme for kdm.
Either edit /etc/sysconfig/displaymanager and change DISPLAYMANAGER_KDM_THEME
from "SUSE" to "oxygen" (or whatever theme you prefer).
Or use yast's sysconfig editor (Desktop->Display
Manager->DISPLAYMANAGER_KDM_THEME).
However, this does not solve the locked session problem. I still need to kill
kscreenlocker from the console to get back into my session. Not nice.
Needless to say, this is one of the most annoying bugs in 11.2.
