thank you for your report.
are you really sure that the card is damaged afterwards?
did you shotdown and unplug your PC for a while?
what did the vendor/dealer tell when you brought that card back ?
is that reproducible and did you show that to the dealer/vendor or ask the
vendor support ?
i think this is something the vendor and enspecially the linux kernel
developers really want to know and really care about !!!
there recently was a problem with with the linux kernel so that intel e1000
based network card could be damaged, so it`s important to know more about this.
fortunately, problems like this are very very rare....
