I cannot reproduce this problem with my MediaPlay mouse. With the patch applied
SaX2 changes the xorg.conf as often as it is required each time I run SaX2.
So we have a conflict here.
- we need the patch for the Logitech Gaming mouse. Otherwise no correct
configuration can be written, which results in a non-working Xserver.
- but with the patch applied changes of xorg.conf are no longer possible
How should we resolve this conflict? Since we cannot reproduce this problem
due to lacking hardware I suggest to disable evdev driver for this mouse. The
patch should be applied nevertheless. There's nothing wrong with it.
Marcus, could you please take care of this? The patch is the one of comment
#43. The mouse, which no longer should be configured to use evdev is
0x046d : 0xc041 : logitech-Gaming
