https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=421735 Summary: after updating KDE from 3.5.9 to 3.5.10 NetworkManager fails Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: bluedzins@wp.pl QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- after updating KDE from 3.5.9 to 3.5.10 NetworkManager fails -- well, I just assume there is relevance because this happened in the same time Two days ago I updated KDE 3.5.9 -> 3.5.10 and the same day KNetworkManager showed some temporal problem with NetworkManager ("is not running") but in a minute it was fine. But today I simply cannot start NetworkManager and what worse I cannot get any output from it. I call: /etc/rc.d/network restart I get: NetworManagerDispatcher done NetworkManager failed I don't see anything in localmessages and warn log, I don't have /var/log/NetworkManager (this is for long time and it didn't matter before, could it be this log is renamed and placed somewhere else?). When I run directly: /usr/sbin/NetworkManager ; echo $? I get 0 so in theory it runs OK. Yet KNM still shows NetworkManager as not running. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
