After installation of 11.3 M6 x86_64 Gnome, the NM applet wasn't visible on the Gnome panel, although wired network and Internet did work. 2. Tried to start 'yast2 network' both from the YaST2 control center and using command line, but nothing happened. 3. Starting 'NetworkManager' from command line also put the NM applet on the panel and it worked as it should during the login session. However after restart, the NetworkManager and nm-applet were gone.
