Samba was running fine, with AD integration and nsswitch configured so that getent passwd etc shows AD users in addition to local users. After installing samba-3.0.30-0.1.121, things work ok for about five minutes, after which failures start. Failures are listed below: 1) getent passwd shows only local users, /var/log/messages shows winbindd[4540]: async_request_timeout_handler: child pid 4525 is not responding. Closing connection to it. 2) wbinfo -t gives: checking the trust secret via RPC calls failed error code was (0x0) Could not check secret Samba 3.0.30-0.1.120 works fine on another box that is running OpenSUSE10.3 - I will be trying 3.0.30-0.1.121 on the 10.3 box soon, but I expect same failures.
