--- Comment #2 from Harald Mueller-Ney 2012-12-11 12:49:12 CET ---
I using just one at a time. I switch from NM to classical for some while and
back, this is maybe not regular use case. Bug appeared when switching from
ifup/ifdown to NM which is a common use case from my view.
Use ifup/idown mode (maybe after an upgrade)
Use DNS configuration "manual" instead of "default policy"
Now move to Network Manager on first tab
The DNS configuration (rd tab) is greyed out and no longer accessable - so you
cannot switch to default policy again.
This blocks DNS updates from WIFI networks.
I looked for such an DNS issues, after seeing it greyed out I expected there is
an NM setup for it and could not find it.
-> BIG usability issues, due to unexpected behavior
This will be more critical for people without much network knowledge. I lost
about 2 days before I poked on yast again.
Either add a hint/warning when using NM (you should use standard policy with NM
bla bla bla), allow changing the field also in NM mode, set standard policy
when switching to IM.
