--- Comment #41 from Felix Miata 2013-12-04 09:09:30 UTC ---
On 12.3 I went ahead and unlocked zypper and libzypp, then did zypper -v up,
then zypper se -s GL, only the latter of which produced a segfault. I repeated
zypper se -s GL after removing the 3kb+ /etc/zypp/locks file, without getting a
segfault.
Any chance this could be a "mutex"-like thing like in
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=680508 and
https://qa.mandriva.com/show_bug.cgi?id=32547 ?
On the same machine over the past ~36 hours I did updates to 6 installations:
Mageia 4 (urpmi), Fedora 19 (yum), Fedora 20 (yum), openSUSE 12.2 (zypper),
openSUSE 12.3 (zypper) and openSUSE 13.1 (zypper). Only 12.3's zypper produced
observable bad behavior of any kind, this.
