It's work than I thought. The thing crashes left and right. Experimented with bigger fonts under 11.2 (I use much smaller fonts than typical), and still couldn't reproduce it there. Anyway, tried my test case (an improved version), but couldn't get the thing to crash. That could mean the problem isn't fully contained within the information pane.
