So the problem is probably not because of SaX, but somewhere else. Maybe the report should be reassigned? To answer your questions: 1. The monitor has been detected correctly for several major SuSE versions now (hardware configuration has not changed for years). But with the factory distribution some time in Jan/Feb, the bootsplash stopped working - a minor annoyance I didn't really take seriously. Looking back this was probably the time when the monitor-os communication got screwed up. I probably just didn't notice the problem with SaX as I use it very seldom. 2. I don't know. 3.
