Yast Installation Process lets you configure NM in Yast
YaST2 basically creates sysconfig/netcontrol ifcfg-ethX files during the installation and NM provides a script, that is able to make an _initial_ _import_ of configurations for physical interfaces.
but after no changes can be made for obvious reasons. ALL other KDE Network Management tools are useless as they do not see the interface. No VPN no nothing and the user is helpless to edit. Just revert things back to 11.0 when this DID work until we remove NM from Yast in 11.1-11.2 - what a functional disaster
We have two network stacks. Both provide different functionality. Use the NetworkManager configuration wizard and an nm plugins to configure NM related things. We will not revert anything, because NM and netcontrol (alias ifup provided in sysconfig package) conflict with each other. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
