https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=705219 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=705219#c5 --- Comment #5 from Gary Ching-Pang Lin <glin@novell.com> 2011-07-21 03:49:32 UTC --- Some findings. NetworkManager/ModemManager tried to issue commands to the modem but failed in some stage. From the log, the system used cdc-acm (generic driver) for the modem. I found there is a new driver (since kernel 2.6.38), cdc-ncm, which is designed exactly for your modem: http://cateee.net/lkddb/web-lkddb/USB_NET_CDC_NCM.html Since openSUSE 11.4 uses 2.6.37, I think you can install a newer kernel and give it a shot. You can find the latest "stable" kernel in this repo: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Kernel:/stable/standard/ Note: Log files would be better to be attached (check the Attachment section in the end of this page) instead of being pasting to the comment directly, so that we can focus on the real comments and keep the page clean :-) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
