Leap has per default predictable names disabled, Tumbleweed has it enabled. So what should happen during an Upgrade from Leap to Tumbleweed? Should the default of Leap be kept or should the default of Tumbleweed be applied?
It should be pretty simple: whatever the user was using on Leap (should it be the default or not) it should continue to work after upgrading to TW (regardless the defaults for TW are). That said the persistent naming scheme should have created a persistent naming rule that should still have effect after upgrading to TW... IMHO it would be interesting to understand how the latest dracut version introduced a regression first. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
