Well /etc/localtime is a binary for me. I don't have adjtime, I can create it with that content then. Right now in YaST -> Time and Date, the option saying HC set to UTC is _not_ ticked. Clock appears to have the correct date. Most probably I'll have to correct it when it changes. But again the problem was not me having to correct it. The problem was that it would auto-correct itself, at the appropriate time. Then I would reboot and it would be wrong. And then I would try to change it myself and it would be lost after each reboot.
