--- Comment #6 from Richard Bos
Because we got somewhere the opposite complain (too much columns).
I hope it is okay, that I comment on this remark. The way it is solved now, by storing 2 pieces of information in 1 column is not preventing the too many columns complaint. That way it is possible to store all rpm information in 1 column and state that it is good because there are not too many columns.... Right now yast shows the installed and available package version, this are 2 pieces of different data. Currently, it is hard to follow the available package information, as it moves on the left side like a drunk person over the column, as it depends on the length of the installed package version. Hence my request to provide the available package information in 1 column, it will much, much easier to follow. If the complaint is that there is too much information, than the available version should be removed. Even better would be that the user can define which fields he or she wants to see, like other applications do (e.g. kmail and I believe synaptic (apt's package manager)). My hope is with Beineri, please provide a patch. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
