https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=230701 Summary: RAID10 on ICH8R reports half size during install Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: PC OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: rrouch@csusb.edu QAContact: jsrain@novell.com During the installation of openSUSE 10.2 Final, I experienced a situation where the computer only reported 1/2 the size of the RAID10 array I had created in the BIOS RAID setup program. Originally it was a Matrix array of 4 disks, the first half RAID0 and the second half RAID10, but I duplicated the problem when I made the entire array RAID10 only. The installation program seems to recognize RAID1 and RAID0 without problem. The computer the array resides on is a Dell XPS 410 computer with an ICH8R southbridge and was utilizing four WD2500KS hard drives at the time. (Note, when I say 1/2, I mean that with four 250GB drives, I should have had a RAID10 array of 500MB. Instead, the installation program was reporting 250MB.) Thank you for your assistance, Randy R.
