I just checked line by line, and that patch is in the source for kernel 3.3.0-2
as distributed with the current state of openSUSE 12.2 Factory. As it is in
there, I would expect it to be in 3.4-rcX. It certainly is in the mainline
kernel.
I am confused about what you did to the kernel in comment #34 to squelch the
spam. If you applied the patch to that source, the patch utility would want to
reverse it. If that is what you did, then it may be that the patch should be
applied only to MCP67, and not to MCP61.
Just to be sure, take whatever recent source you have available and reverse the
patch. Post the log of what you do, and report the results.
Another thing would be to post the output of
/sbin/lspci -nn | grep MCP
