I also started to notice the same bug, but my disk is not external nor
encrypted. It is a SSD system installed disk.
I attached a pic of the nagging dialog I get each time I login after a bootup,
asking me for my root password. See pic snap-01.png
This never happen before, but showed up a few weeks backs and I was just
ignoring it at first.
I initially opened this as a KDE bug, but was told this is a openSUSE bug and
was pointed to this one.
