--- Comment #2 from Rainer Klier 2007-10-10 06:19:55 MST ---
but there is no *.fdi file in opensuse10.3 for a logitech mouse, which sets the
correct permissions under /dev/bus/usb/.
and the package lomoco-1.0-15 which comes from the opensuse10.3 dvd contains
these files:
/etc/udev/rules.d/40-lomoco.rules
/lib/udev
/lib/udev/lomoco.sh
/usr/bin/lomoco
/usr/share/doc/packages/lomoco
/usr/share/doc/packages/lomoco/AUTHORS
/usr/share/doc/packages/lomoco/COPYING
/usr/share/doc/packages/lomoco/ChangeLog
/usr/share/doc/packages/lomoco/INSTALL
/usr/share/doc/packages/lomoco/NEWS
/usr/share/doc/packages/lomoco/README
/usr/share/hal
/usr/share/hal/fdi
/usr/share/hal/fdi/policy
/usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/10osvendor
/usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/10osvendor/50-lomoco.fdi
/usr/share/man/man1/lomoco.1.gz
/var/adm/fillup-templates/sysconfig.logitech_mouse
so it uses the udev-rules-way of doing it.
but it fails for the reasons i gave above and in bug #332506
