We need just to make sure that we're still not Energy Star compliant just of
because of this.
Please review:
In SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 11, there is a feature called "auto suspend".
That means, that the system is automatically put into a low power mode
(suspend) after a certain time of inactivity. This requirement is part of the
Energy Star specification version 4.0
(http://www.energystar.gov/ia/partners/product_specs/program_reqs/Computer_Sp...).
It is also required to enforce this behavior for systems running AC powered. By
default, the suspend occurs after 30 minutes of inactivity. To change the power
saving defaults, start the GNOME control center's power management module for
GNOME or the preferences dialog of KPowersave for KDE.
