--- Comment #9 from Episteme PROMENEUR ---
yes it is KDE
in kde settings > local settings > language
- by default if you install 42.2
there is no preferred languages
- in my opensuse 13.1 this was set to "français" and "american-english"
then i thought it is an error and i set "preferred languages" to "français" and
"american-english"
i set preferred languages to "nothing"
then
@linux-9vc6:~> echo $LANGUAGE
@linux-9vc6:~> echo $LANG
fr_FR.UTF-8
in kde settings > local settings > formats and syntax correction
the choice for french is "France-Français(fr-FR)"
then
i assume for consistency in "preferred languages" it must be also
"France-Français(fr-FR) to not lead to a problem.
FF has no problem this is kde which has a problem.
we must have the ability to choose "France-Français(fr-FR)" for "preferred
languages"
more info :
if in kde marble i want to change language of application then i get the choice
of 2 languages: "french" and "american-english".
remember i set to "nothing" "preferred languages".
what does it set this choice?
i don't understand nothing about how languages are set in opensuse.
what does it rules languages and how?
