Today it crashed on me, once again. Some relevant lines before crashing...
Aug 19 17:00:01 linux-j228 rchal: CPU frequency scaling is not supported by y
our processor.
Aug 19 17:00:01 linux-j228 rchal: boot with 'CPUFREQ=no' in to avoid this war
ning.
Aug 19 17:00:01 linux-j228 rchal: Cannot load cpufreq governors - No cpufreq
driver available
Aug 19 17:00:22 linux-j228 kernel: IA-32 Microcode Update Driver: v1.14a
Aug 19 17:00:22 linux-j228 firmware.sh[2453]: Cannot find firmware file 'int
el-ucode/0f-02-07'
Aug 19 17:18:11 linux-j228 kernel: mtrr: no MTRR for f0000000,4000000 found
I don't know what the last line means but what I can tell you is that, as far
as I remember, I didn't get those lines with earlier openSUSE releases.
With openSUSE 10.2 and 10.3, the processor's fan wasn't running all the time;
it only ran when the system was hot. Now with 11.0, it is running nonstop.
