https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=246506 Summary: EVMS installation does not boot Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Alpha 1 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: seife@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de OtherBugsDependingO 245732 nThis: i installed Alpha1 onto a virgin harddrive with EVMS. It does not boot, because it cannot fsck the /boot drive (/dev/disk/by-id/ata-QEMU_HARDDISK_QM00001-part1: device is busy) So i removed the fsck flags for /boot from /etc/fstab. Later i found out, that /boot also could not be mounted (busy), but it was mountable as /dev/evms/hda1, so i entered that into fstab. I'm not sure if the error is that /dev/disk/by-id/ata-QEMU_HARDDISK_QM00001-part1 is busy when it shouldn't be or if simply the wrong device node is entered in fstab. Will attach fstab (modified by me, original line commented), and y2logs. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
