Suggestion: Set the grub2 default entry to the second line (the one with the actual boot entry). Additionally you might highlight the first line with blue background or red characters or whatever and prepend "Snapshot to be booted, don't select this entry" or some such information.
To workaround your can explicitly specify the default entry. grub2-set-default "openSUSE Leap 42.1" It should help in new created snapshots to have correct default match the title rather than the default first entry.
