https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=263748 Summary: linuxrc does not recognize iseries virtual network devices Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Alpha 3 Platform: PowerPC OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: snwint@novell.com ReportedBy: olh@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de CC: power-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com 10.3a3 on curry.suse.de, i820 partition. linuxrc does not recognize the need for iseries_veth. I removed AVAILABLE_VETH=%d from /proc/iSeries/config in the hope sysfs or /proc/device-tree would be enough. How would hwinfo or linuxrc find that iseries_veth has to be loaded? I see not a single modalias file in /sys. The driver is listed in modules.alias: /lib/modules/2.6.21-rc5-git13-2-iseries64/modules.alias alias vio:TnetworkSIBM,iSeries-l-lan* iseries_veth Would modalias entries in sysfs help? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
