https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=332063 Summary: sax2 does not detect changes in video hardware and new driver install... Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: SaX2 AssignedTo: ms@novell.com ReportedBy: paulriverside@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Other I initially installed opensuse 10.3 on a 19in lcd monitor with nvidia 6200 card, using plug and play monitor settings and the xorg nvidia driver. I then installed the official nvidia driver, started sax2 from yast, yast still showed old driver being used, so I restart x and got same result, driver to recognized (no 3D accel support). I then shutdown and switched monitors to a 17in crt. Upon booting, the new monitor model was not autodetected, so I ran sax2, still not detected by plugandplay. I was then advised through the #opensuse irc to type "sax2 -r" as root. This worked, got the new monitor detected by plugandplay and the new video card driver was used, showing 3D accel enabled. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
