https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=399068 Summary: kpowersave does not set cpu frequency properly when on battery Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: RC 3 Platform: 32bit OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: pablo@blueoakdb.com QAContact: qa@suse.de CC: hmacht@novell.com, trenn@novell.com, seife@novell.com, chrubis@novell.com Depends on: 396311 Found By: --- Hi, When I'm on battery, my CPU frequency doesn't scale up; only when I'm on A/C. I added logic to an existing script in `etc/pm/power.d' to call `cpufreq-set' to set my CPU frequency. The interesting thing is I have to `sleep' about 20 seconds before the policy can be applied. If I don't do this, the policy remains at 800 MHz. I'll attach the output of `cpufreq-info' when I'm on A/C and when I'm on battery. Please let me know what additional data is required. I'm marking the severity to `normal' as I have a work-around. Although I'm not sure whether a `newbie' would be able to figure it out. Please re-classify as you see fit. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
