--- Comment #23 from Gary Ching-Pang Lin 2013-09-27 09:56:30 UTC ---
Well, I found not every machine was affected. The crash didn't happen on Intel
TunnelMountain and OVMF. However, the ultrabook with Intel UEFI failed to pass
the verification.
I am going to roll back gnu-efi to 3.0q. A test shim is available in my branch
home:gary_lin:branches:openSUSE:13.1.
To test shim,
1. Format the usb stick as a FAT partition
2. Copy everything in the openSUSE 13.1 DVD to the FAT partition
3. Replace EFI/BOOT/bootx64.efi with shim-devel.efi in shim.rpm
4. Boot a UEFI machine with the usb stick
The test shim works with my ultrabook, and I would like to know if it works on
other machines.
