We already concluded that your issue is different from mine. I did try the intel_idle.max_cstate=4 kernel parameter, but, as expected, with no success. I accidentally found that updating/replacing the BIOS, did solve my problem also, apart from the "git revert 49218c83e25b6f0708f246b07d570b2c43a98223" solution. details are in: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=109398 Since i do not have any problems anymore and, as we later found out, having an other problem anyway, i will leave. It was funny. The comments in this post set me thinking that the problem i/we had, could be caused by a recent kernel change. This appeared to be true. But even all the symptoms were the same, the cause was something else. Bugs appear to walk in strange ways.
