Switching to other consoles (cntr-alt-f1 etc.) turns text display on, indicates that the system booted but X isn't outputing anything to the display. cntrl-alt-f7 switches back to blank screen. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Boot from LiveCD 2. 3. Actual Results: Blank screen (no video being sent to screen) Expected Results: Installation application GUI. ASUS P5K-V motherboard that uses Intel G33 / ICH9 chipset. Using the built in Intel graphics. Using "nomodeset" for the boot parameters seems to solve the problem.
