Corrections:
sntp OTOH is not smart enough to detect, that this address isn't a ntp server
and waits a couple of minutes. Since it does that on every boot, such a setting
renders the system unusable.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. disable 127.0.0.2 asssignment in /etc/hosts (if available)
Steps to fix this manually:
1. edit /etc/sysconfig/network/config
add your ntp server _ip_ addresses to NETCONFIG_NTP_STATIC_SERVERS
set NETCONFIG_NTP_POLICY to ""
2. rm /var/run/ntp/servers-netconfig
