https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=372057 Summary: Showing two resolutions on the same desktop Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: X11 3rd Party Driver AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: jharmon@novell.com QAContact: sndirsch@novell.com Found By: --- I am running openSUSE 10.3 on a wide screen Dell Latitude D820 laptop. I first installed the GM version without updating and was able to have the proper screen resolution without any problems (1920 x 1200). The graphics card is an Intel 945GM. After applying all of the updates, I still have the 1920 x 1200 screen resolution but there is also a 1024 x 768 screen resolution within the 1920 x 1200 screen resolution. When windows open maximized it is often only within this 1024 x 768 resolution area. I can maximize the window if I pull it out of this area into the middle of the screen. I will also attach a screen shot showing that the gnome menu bar is at the 1024 x 768 resolution by default as well. I have tried turning of dual head mode, thinking that perhaps the dual head option was showing both resolutions on one screen. No change. I also noticed that the resapplet is not even showing the 1920 x 1200 resolution. It is only showing the 1024 x 768 resolution. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
