Part a) is most relevant in this bugreport, but I'll mention the others to give you the whole picture. a) kupdateapplet hang at "Installation finished" with a 100% progress bar. I had to quit (using Ctrl-q) and restart kupdateapplet multiple times to install all updates. I have no idea why it didn't install all packages at once, maybe the logs can give you some insight... (Is there a maximum length for the list of packages to upgrade somewhere?) b) akregator from KDE 4.3.1 was uninstalled (bug 581089) See bug 581089 for details.
