(Intel Centrino Duo / Intel 945GM chipset & graphics) OpenSuse 11.1 installed very recently. Kernel version is : 2.6.27.21-0.1-pae #1 SMP 2009-03-31 14:50:44 +0200 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux When I close the Lid, X doesnt reappear, there is a black screen. Can access tty with CTRL ALT F1, and must kill X by a tty console, and it restarts without problem. If I close the lid while on a tty, this tty cannot be accessed anymore unless I first access another tty. In this case, X still remains active and functionnal. Power Settings are set to "Do Nothing" when Display Lid is closed. Tried with apm=off , nothing changes. acpi=off freezes the computer upon boot. acpid stopped doesnt change.
